The Nutrition Service Department is an active partner in education by providing nourishing
lunches designed to meet one-third of the minimum daily requirements for children.
Nutrition Service also offers special catering for school and community groups. These
special functions may be requested through the use of the Food Services Special Functions Form. Submit the completed form to the Nutrition Service Department. Please give a weeks notice when requesting food and a two day notice for beverages. Whether it be a luncheon, banquet or just a coffee service, the Nutrition Service Department can help.
If you or your group plan to use the equipment in a school kitchen, a nutrition employee
needs to be there to oversee the operation for safety and liability reasons. They will be paid
by the hour, with their cost factored into your billing. In order to make your function a success, the Nutrition Service Department will make every attempt to accommodate every group and their requested services, however, requests may be denied based on availability and lack of adequate advance notice. Internal groups or employees may use the equipment without a Nutrition Service employee. However such exceptions must be approved by the Nutrition Service Director and accompanied by a Food Services Special Function Form. The equipment must be left in the same condition it was found when your group arrived and the room kept neat and clean. The decision to use a Nutrition Service employee for an internal function is based on the specific usage of the kitchen as it relates to safety and complexity of the facility use. It is at the sole discretion of the Nutrition Service Director.
